Details Parameters
Pickled plate is a product made from high-quality hot-rolled sheet. After pickling, the surface oxide layer is removed, the edges are cut, and the product is finished. Its surface quality and usage requirements fall between hot-rolled and cold-rolled plate, serving as an ideal substitute for both.
Production Process
The production process of pickled plate includes the following steps:
● Selection of raw materials: High-quality hot-rolled sheet is used.
● Pickling treatment: Hot-rolled sheet is immersed in hydrochloric acid to remove iron oxide from the surface via chemical reaction, resulting in a clean surface.
● Edge cutting and finishing: Burrs and uneven edges are removed, followed by leveling to achieve the desired surface roughness.
Performance Characteristics
Pickled plate has the following characteristics:
● Good surface quality: After iron oxide removal, the surface quality surpasses that of hot-rolled plate, facilitating welding, oiling, and painting.
● High dimensional accuracy: Leveling treatment improves flatness and reduces unevenness deviation.
● High finish: Enhanced surface finish and improved appearance.
● High cost-effectiveness: Compared to cold-rolled plate, pickled plate offers cost savings while maintaining surface quality.
Applications
Pickled plate is widely used in various fields:
● Automobile industry: Primarily used in chassis systems (beams, sub-beams), wheels (rims, wheel radials), cab interior panels, and compartment panels.
● Mechanical industry: Used in textile machinery, mining machinery, fans, and general-purpose machinery, as well as compressor shells, brackets, and water heater liners.
● Other applications: Chemical oil drums, bicycle parts, welded pipes, electrical cabinets, highway guardrails, supermarket shelves, warehouse shelves, fences, iron ladders, and various stamped parts.
