Product Overview

Cold-rolled steel is produced from hot-rolled coils at room temperature, below the recrystallization temperature. Cold-rolled steel is widely used in automobile manufacturing and electrical products, among other fields. Cold rolling occurs below the recrystallization temperature, but is usually associated with rolling materials at room temperature.

Specifications

1. Minimum thickness is 0.2-4mm, width is 600-2000mm, and steel plate length is 1200-6000mm.

2. Grades: Q195a-Q235a, Q195af-Q235af, Q295a(b)-Q345 A(b); SPCC, SPCD, SPCE, ST12-15; DC01-06

3. Performance: Mainly uses low-carbon steel grades, requiring excellent cold bending and welding performance, as well as a certain degree of stamping capability.

Production Process

Because there is no heating during the production process, defects common in hot rolling, such as pitting and oxide scale, are absent. Therefore, the surface quality is good, and the surface finish is high. Cold-rolled products also have high dimensional accuracy, and their properties and structure meet specific requirements such as electromagnetic characteristics and deep drawing capabilities.

Application Areas

Cold-rolled thin steel sheets, often called cold-rolled thin sheets or simply cold sheets (sometimes misspelled), are made from hot-rolled steel strips of ordinary carbon structural steel, further cold-rolled into steel sheets less than 4 mm thick. Because the rolling process takes place at room temperature, oxide scale is not produced. Therefore, cold-rolled steel sheets have excellent surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. In addition, after annealing, their mechanical properties and processing properties also exceed those of hot-rolled thin steel sheets. In various fields, especially in the home appliance manufacturing industry, cold-rolled thin sheets are gradually replacing hot-rolled thin sheets.
